Privacy statement

Last updated 6 November 2026

Audibridge is operated by Mark Edwards, a sole trader in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia (“we”, “us”). This statement explains what personal information we collect when you use Audibridge — the website, the accounts site at accounts.audibridge.com, and the Audibridge Studio app and plugins — what we do with it, and how to ask about it. We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).

What we collect

WhatWhen, and why
Your accountYour name, email address and password (stored only as a secure hash), or your Google sign-in if you use it. To create and run your account, sign you in, and email you about it.
PaymentsThe credits you buy and your billing history. Card details are entered with and held by our payment processor, Stripe; we never see or store your full card number.
StudiosThe names you give your studio computers, and when each was last connected. To pair them with your account and let them join your sessions.
SessionsSession names, join codes, and the display names guests type when they join. To run the session and show who is in it.
Audio and videoThe audio and video you choose to send in a session, including talkback, is streamed live to the people in it. The programme audio is also recorded to the session’s timeline, so that you can play it back and download it.
What people add to a sessionChat messages, markers, takes and their notes, which are kept with the session. Private messages between people in a session are not stored.
TranscriptsWhen transcription is on for a session, speech in the session is transcribed and, if asked for, translated. The transcript is kept with the session.
HelpQuestions you ask the help assistant, its answers, your ratings, and short notes it keeps to help you next time (for example, which device you listen on). You can clear those notes from the help panel.
Messages to usAnything you send to support, including logs you choose to attach.
Technical informationYour IP address, browser or app version, and connection details, in our servers’ logs. To keep the service running, secure and working, and to fix faults.

We collect this from you, from the people you invite into your sessions, and from Google if you choose to sign in with it. You can join someone else’s session as a guest with just a code and a display name, without an account.

Cookies and storage

We use a sign-in cookie to keep you signed in, and your browser’s local storage to remember settings such as volume and layout. We do not use advertising cookies, and we do not use analytics or tracking services.

How we use it

We do not sell personal information, and we do not use it for advertising.

Who we share it with

We use these service providers, who process information on our behalf and only to provide their service to us:

ProviderForWhere
Amazon Web ServicesHosting the service, its databases and session recordingsSydney, Australia
StripePaymentsUnited States and elsewhere
GoogleSign in with Google, if you use itUnited States and elsewhere
DeepgramTranscribing speech, when transcription is onUnited States
AnthropicTranslating transcripts, and answering help questionsUnited States
ResendSending emailUnited States
CloudflareChecking a form is filled in by a person, where we askUnited States and elsewhere

Because some of these providers are overseas, your information may be stored or processed outside Australia. We choose providers that protect it to a comparable standard.

People in a session see what is shared in it: guests hear and see the programme, and the people allowed to chat see the chat. We may also disclose information when the law requires it.

How long we keep it

We keep your account information while your account is open. Sessions, their recordings, chat, markers and transcripts are kept until you delete them or close your account, unless we tell you of a shorter period. Server logs are kept for a short time. Payment records are kept as long as tax law requires.

Keeping it safe

Connections to Audibridge are encrypted. Passwords are stored only as secure hashes, sensitive settings are encrypted at rest, and access to our systems is restricted. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information from misuse, loss and unauthorised access.

Your choices and rights

If you live in the European Union or the United Kingdom, you have further rights under the GDPR, including to object to some uses and to receive a copy of your information. Ask us and we will help.

Questions and complaints

Email privacy@audibridge.com to ask about your information, request a copy or a correction, or make a complaint. We will reply within 30 days.

If you are not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.

Changes to this statement

We will update this page when what we collect or how we use it changes, and change the date at the top. If a change matters to you, we will tell you by email or in the service.
